The signal in the room here on wrapped Bitcoin is that this exchange represents a slippery slope in a few areas. I’ll remind you that over the last few years, it’s become much easier to detect the patterns of weak men that need the comfort of groupthink.

The largest inhibitor of Bitcoin adoption is education and the biggest contributor to poor education is the proliferation of shitcoins that have been the bane of existence for Bitcoin, Bitcoiners and prospective Bitcoiners that need this the most but understandably so see it as a scam because of Shitcoins.

The social cost of being deemed a Bitcoin leader that supported etherscanned stamped shitcoins means you've typecasted yourself as someone who lacks the fortitude to be a leader when it matters most. This will make your Bitcoin journey miserable. And make no mistake about it, this is a fork in the road for proving you will speak up when it's unpopular. And to those digging their heals in instead of just admitting they got it wrong after reconsidering, you have to be ok with other Bitcoiners suspecting something fishy is going on because this is one of the easiest things to call out and prove that it’s not Bitcoin.

Oh indeed

I haven’t seen a single bitcoiner defend wrapped bitcoin. But that’s probably because I only use nostr.

The Litmus Test

Understanding bitcoin requires understanding bad money first
