You can get zaps (tips, a way to look at them) by getting a wallet either blue wallet, Zeus wallet, or getting yourself an alby hub, it’s the sovereign world! Meaning you can get value for value! Since you may be starting to immerse yourself in all of this you can also get a wallet of Satoshi to get yourself going and later look into the other wallets.

Depending on your client you chose to use you can use an external wallet or the internal one ( i believe only primal app has an internal wallet) go get minibits wallet to accept tips. They will give you an address (it'll look like an email address) add it in the proper field in your settings and boom đź’Ą people can tip you for sharing content

Yes, zaps are like tips, but the “currency” is called sats, and they are tiny amounts of bitcoin, the way pennies are tiny amounts of a dollar.
I use the wallet that comes with Primal, which is another Nostr app, and other folks have made other wallet suggestions.
As mentioned, Nostr is a protocol which means you can use all of these different Nostr apps, made by different people, and it’s still your single account, unlike Facebook was only FB and what you posted on X wasn’t part of your Instagram account. I love this part because it was such a pain to maintain multiple accounts to share my art and writing.
You do want to make sure you keep track of your nsec - that’s like your password but it cannot be “reset” - if you loose it, you can’t get it back/get access to your account again. It’s easy to start a new account, though, because there isn’t anyone who can stop you. 👍
