Do you know of any good tutorials to lower the power usage and/or upgrade the fans? I have an older S9 that sounds like a jet.

I've only ever used braiins os. But to lower the power usage is VERY easy using it.

Click on menu > configuration > click menu again > performance

Make sure automating is checked and simply input your wattage preference. It will take some time for it to finish tuning and the fans will randomly ramp up and down. But once it's done the hashrate will rise amd the fan rpms will stabilize. Sometimes it can take a few hrs to do initial tuning.

Will have to check this out! I noticed it on my recent S9, but wasn’t aware of it when I first got my hands on one back in the day.

Curious if it’s the lower power usage or upgraded fans that contribute to the noise reduction. Prob a little bit of both.
