Chinese censorship? You mean blocking certain multinational corporations from brainwashing their citizens to create division and internal conflict?
Because I've found Chinese social media is actually less censored than twitter or Facebook, there are a number of topics you just don't talk about, nobody cares if you're trans etc. they don't want to know.
Some political topics are off limits, for or against both sides of those political topics get the same level of censorship.
But that also depends which social media platform.
The platforms all practice different degrees of self censorship, but it's usually fair and you know exactly where you stand and why you're being censored.
But ignoring all of that, you'll actually find a lot of anti Chinese propaganda on twitter and the only reason Elon Musk isn't more vocal is because he wants his companies to do business in China.
On Chinese social media their explanation of the difference is "in USA you have freedom of speech but no freedom of choice, in China you have freedom of choice"
