As someone else mentioned, I don't need to copy someone else's blocklist. I don't need someone else deciding for me what I can and can't see. I shouldn't have to follow someone to see what they're saying just because randomuser123 and his friends decided they're spam.

It's not a random user. It's 5 people you follow directly (and thus should know really well).

needing 5 people to stop spam is not effective, you should make it customizable or reduce to 1, you do something like minimize on 1 to 5 reports, hide on more than 5, customizable display would be good too

not at all as curation is essential to making nostr successful

you already use iris's social filter, the follows feed, adding new curation methods is needed, global is swamped with spam
