#asknostr still cannot find a global feed with everything all countries send on the #primal app, without a filter; any pointers?
Discussion
In one sense there is no universal feed in #nostr as far as I can see. You see what your relays show you. That's the first filter, applied before any other.
That's probably true on Facebook and twitter too. It's just more transparent here.
is there a hashtag so lame?
There are some very popular #hashtags such as #asknostr but none that deliver a firehouse, not that I know of.
Unless I'm misunderstanding you?
Primal doesn't display to you notes that live on your selected relays. On Primal, you ONLY read from their caching relay.
If you would like a truly Global feed, go to jumble.social
Log in there and then go to settings and relays. Under "Global" add every relay that exists. Don't leave any out. No, a list of all relays doesn't really exist anywhere either, so good luck finding them all.
Then you'll need to ask all the read restricted ones to give you permission to read from them. Some of them may require you to pay for that privilege, so be ready to cough up some sats.
Now you may have something CLOSE to a Global view, if it will even load for you. Oh... except I don't think jumble will let you read from Tor-only relays... You could try all of the above on Amethyst instead, since it has built-in Tor functionality, but I know for a fact Amethyst will crash if you attempt to read from that many relays.
Welcome to true decentralization.
It was renamed to Nostr Firehose.
So when you're on your default feed, usually Latest, there should be a dropdown arrow next to it. Hit in and select the Nostr Firehose. That is, unless you killed it when customizing feeds. In that case, click on Settings | Home Feeds and then recheck the box so it will show up for you.
