What haunts me about ecash isn't being rugged by dishonest operators... it's being rugged by honest ones. There's literally no way for an operator to exit the system without stealing funds
I don't think either are long term solutions, more like work around for situations that require immediate liquidity without opening new lightning channels.
I used Semsoles ecash for a bit but would immediately exchange it for custodial lighting.
Neither solution really provides a good situation for larger sums in my opinion

Exactly why I could never run a mint or custodial wallet, tip bot, etc. I’d never want to custody anyone else’s sats.
