I’m no good writer but the tdlr on my post

Is people doing all kind of advocacy to make immigration work have only been focussing on the superficial

When the difference is deep cultural definiton of fundamental concepts like respect or freedom

My suggestion is that If they wish to continue they should focus on initiatives that would ensure that new immigrant have a deep understanding of these fundamemtals instead of fake embracing their looks fashionable habits

My bandwith comment is about the immigrants who seem to come from a society who has completely different core belief yet adapt , a lot of times it’s mainly because they have the bandwidth to work on themselves and assimilate , which is something you can’t expect everyone else to do

I guess I don’t see immigration advocates being as superficial. In the US pro immigration groups tend be that way out of empathy or exploitation. Corporations that are immigrant advocates tend to care less about any deep cultural differences as long as it makes sense for the cheap labor. The more liberal minded groups can be pro immigration out of empathy from certain world situations. As far as how well a group assimilates I’m not sure that’s predictable. I also think, at least US culture ( which is what I can speak to) isn’t the culture monolith some pretend to be.
