The L2 “ARK” , if it hold true to its WP, sounded pretty promising to me.
I truly think the only “issue” with Bitcoin is how high the bar was set, and as a result, hardcore advocates settle for nothing less.
I’m on the side of “exactly! Our money should be held to such a standard”.

Paper sats are not a novel threat. And lightning does not introduce them as a threat in a novel way. ANY custodial wallet, lightning or on chain, can lie to, or rug, its users. This was true before lightning, it is true now for lightning as well. Avoid custodial solutions. All trusted third parties are security holes. This is just how custodial works. It’s not any different with Lightning or on-chain. The solution is to withdraw, then you don’t have to care.

Sure but I’m thinking about “hyperbitcoinization” when we often talk like everyone will be using Lightning (ya know “because there’s not even block space from the world to use mainchain all at once”). So does monetary manipulation just creep back on this way only this timeline it’s sovereign bitcoiners with enough coin to be running large LN channels and services, who are the Cantillionaires, creating paper sats over their infrastructure that others need to use?
