I keep getting a lot of new followers who have zero activity on Nostr but follow hundreds of people. I assume that they are bots. But why? Does anyone know what's behind these accounts?

It's prep for social attacks. Bad actors create a ton of accounts on social media years ahead of when they plan to use them so they look more legitimate when they are activated.
