Sorry brother. Monero has very little use case besides losing purchasing power if you hold it. 🤷🏻 Privacy needs can be met with proper opsec.

Ask the co-founder of Ledger how proper OPSEC went. I think his name was David something.
Ask Satoshi how proper opsec went. If you can find him....
That's proper opsec. Bitcoins largest holder. And you don't have a clue who he is.
Yeah, because he doesn't use Bitcoin. If he ever used it, we would all know about it. So you're telling me the proper way to use Bitcoin is to have some and never ever touch it.
Purchasing power in USD is not how I want to judge what is best. Functionality is what I want to understand. If suddenly people decide that layer 1 privacy is important, the "purchasing power" could shift over night.
Purchase power is literally the only thing that matters with money. Especially with money over time. Money has one function. To buy things.
And purchasing power is USD value to you then? What if I want purhase something privately. Suddenly KYC btc has no value to me.
Purchasing power is purchasing power. Didn't matter what it's measured in. Value is subjective. You can definitely swap around KYC btc to retain privacy. Either through liquid or lightning atomic swaps, ecash, the list goes on. KYC Bitcoin is still Bitcoin and it has the same purchase power as non KYC BTC.
I am a bitcoiner miner. Havr been a holder for 8 years. You don't need to explain to me why it's great. I will always continue to ask questions though. Don't close your mind.
My mind isn't closed. I e analyzed the situation and come to a conclusion based on the facts. If the facts change, I'll change my mind.
What do you dislike about monero? Without mentioning USD price which is a social construct and can change. And without mentioning adoption, which could also change in the future. Help me understand.
It's not about USD price it's about price period. Measure it however you want but 5 years ago you could have bought a shitload more of eggs with one manero then you can now. I don't care about USD I care about what my money will buy me. You can use Bitcoin pseudonymously. Therefore I don't see a use case for monero. Which would be why the market continues to devalue it against Bitcoin. Money converges to one. You don't need multiple. It was the same story with monetary medals.
That makes sense. I still think if people become more aware of the privacy concerns, when we are in a post NGU focused place, monero could gain value. Looking at history, you are correct. It's gone down against bitcoin. I just wonder if privacy became a priority, could that change. And could not both remain relevant if we want privacy?
Most people will never give a shit about their privacy. I'm sorry but I don't think that will ever change.
