Debian is bitcoin
Linux Mint is bitcoin cash
Ubuntu is BSV
i just got an old lap top and flashed pureOS onto it to be my computer for accessing my stack. But this whole dynamic of different distributions is new to me. Can you give me the synopsis ?
I think generally the differences lie in how packages are maintained and updated. Debian based (including Ubuntu, Mint) don't update as frequently and are typically thought of as more stable. Arch based (Arco, Artix, Endeavor) are rolling distributions, meaning their packages/kernel are updated constantly and are generally on the bleeding edge. Arch is also great because users upload their own package builds to the AUR, which means a lot of unofficially supported software is easier to install.
Fedora also has its own way of packaging, but I'm not familiar with that ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯
Ay ay ay! Arch is great, and I had Arco installed on my main pc for like 2 years, but the constant need to update became cumbersome for me. Switched to Pop!_OS and for the most part its been smooth sailing
