I’m reading through trending topics.
Me: Where’s the lie though? I’ve expressed similar sentiments. Folks aren’t zapping enough. People aren’t engaging in enough marketplace transactions. It’s cliquey. I’ll post substantial content and don’t get a like nor zap. The loudest people in the room aren’t always right. Just loud and wrong. People can say what they want but I’ve been here for 7 months. If I am wrong, post evidence that contradicts what I’m saying and tag me. No need to make a subliminal post. It’s low level. We can engage in an adult conversation. Perhaps, people should actually do more to provide *evidence* displaying the innovative features of Nostr such as zapping and engaging in Bitcoin exchanges outside of memes, cliques, and friends. Nostr truly has so much potential but there’s not enough being done. And that’s a fact.
I’ve offered suggestions for improvement. I’ve listed marketing ideas and sales ideas. I’ve given feedback publicly and privately. I’ve also talked about ideas for content creators and monetization. I’ve suggested contests. Heck, I even suggested a game show. I have talked about ways to earn Bitcoin. I’ve continuously pointed to the white paper as a reminder to what we should be doing with Bitcoin. I’ve discussed global opportunities. I said I would test apps/clients while traveling because some features don’t display properly. I can go on and on.
Once I address things like this, its crickets. Or people will say I’m begging for sats. Or they will make subliminal posts telling me to post content of value. I’m a professional with experience. As a former faculty member of math and statistics, I know how to create valuable content. Is it a meme? Or surfing video? No. The things I post are of value but they might not be seen like that by everyone. With that said, it doesn’t make the content less worthy because I’m posting in this cliquey sphere. What some people don’t realize is that they’re contradicting their own points. If you value diverse content, show it. If you promote Bitcoin exchanges, make more transactions. The crazy part is that in the initial phases of getting a new product up and running, is that you have to sometimes invest in the ideas yourself. Spend money on promotion and showcasing the best features. I’ve literally read crazy stories about what major companies did to help get traction for their companies in the initial stages. But it worked.
There are many ways to showcase Nostr. For example, I literally had a shirt that said “What’s Nostr?” Someone could have given me a mega zap of 500k sats. I then use the sats to zap others and buy from Shopstr. Creating a circular economy. I never said I would “stack sats.” So, when someone asks…”What’s Nostr?” I could have responded…”it’s the place where someone can sell a T-shirt for roughly $500 and get paid instantly. I can then use the money to buy something at the local market in my hometown, pay bills with Strike, or buy from an online marketplace like Shopstr. I could also move the Bitcoin to my Bitkey for sel-custody. Nostr is a place where I can zap newbies Bitcoin so they can participate in the Bitcoin ecosystem too.” A simple T-shirt transaction could have created buzz, a commercial, and moved sats around. The things I just listed can’t happen on other social media platforms right now. Therefore, put your best foot forward.
Jack has donated millions. One million could have been set aside for promoting Nostr’s best features and showcasing the fromt ent aspects. These are the MAIN parts people want. Too much money is spent on development. There needs to be a balance. But only a few people really seem to get it. As a result, people are creating products that barely no one is using. With that said, if people would have been open-minded, accepting of the truth, less egotistical, insecure, and put their feelings to the side, then great ideas could have been placed on a smorgasbord and implemented to get Nostr poppin.
Since Nostr is small, it would have appeared to have a bigger effect. Would it scale to everyone in the world? No. But it would have created a buzz, shown evidence that it works in certain situations, and there are new opportunities on Nostr. The new opportunities would have been the part that could have been emphasized more. Nostr is the empty slate where you can create almost anything.
If it worked at some scale, I’m sure Jack would have invested more funding.
Rather than accepting my olive branches to help improve the ecosystem, (for the most part) I was ignored, dismissed, not responded to, and barely zapped. And now people want to respond to truthful comments posted on X. Funny and laughable. Y’all are next level bothered by the truth. Again, where is the lie? If you want to engage in a healthy debate about this, zap this post at least 100k and we can get it popping. Otherwise, your silence proves my points.
Step to the mic. Let’s go…
