One day I started gazing,

Deep into the abyss,

And I found the abyss was gazing,

Right back into me.

So I thought I would adventure,

Deep into the abyss,

How bad can it really be?

Was the thought that came to me.

Very soon I was alone,

Deep inside the abyss,

They said that I had hurt them,

But that didn’t matter to me.

Farther I delved down,

I figured I wouldn’t be missed,

I had always been alone,

Was the lie it told to me.

Every step had a cost,

But I didn’t really notice,

The bill was mounting higher,

But how bad could it be?

Finally my journey ended,

I had lost almost everything,

Only pain lived inside,

Nobody was there to see.

And when I reached the bottom,

As deep as I could be,

I found it was a mirror,

And the gazer, was me.
