Several by now. Yesterday I was still sourcing, today it's all over the place and Ursi already said that private savings will be used for badly needed EU investments". This includes the €800 billion previous allocated to the EU's economic covid recovery plans. Which will be now sent to the military industrial complex instead. Germany announced that they will invest €500 billion into national defence as well.

Add the planned launched of the digital EUR CBDC in October and it all starts coming together.

Are people in Europe draining the ATMs? I feel like this should precipitate a run on the banks and a movement into physical gold and bitcoin etc. Im surprised I'm not hearing more about that kind of response.

I've mentioned the news to a few people I meet in my day-to-day. Nobody knows anything about the digital EUR being expected in Oct. Haven't seen it on any newspapers or magazines either (covers). A lot of distracting going on tbh. War mongering, defence budgets, still alleged energy crisis. Most people that CBDC is just gonna hit and then they'll say things like "how did this happen?"

But to claim 10 tril of savings will be used because a Russian state news said so is just intellectual dishonesty.

I am very much not a eu good guy but this is not a news story but propaganda that alligns with a narrative
