Maybe orange with a thick black outline? Orange on white is too soft of a contrast for some people, but it contrasts great with black and an outline would make it a lot more flexible on different backgrounds.
Yeah tha sounds about right- a distinct typography style to unite the whole thing visually and make the orange O work
