Remember that time 400 years ago when a strong group of enterprising citizens left their oppressive mother-empire to start a new society halfway across the world? A new society predicated on freedom, trade and innovation.

I can see Bitcoiner’s doing something similar this decade. Leaving oppressive authoritarian regimes like the EU, the US, China, Russia, Canada and the like to live elsewhere and foster ideals antithetical to big government. I hope this trend emerges and would be very happy to be part of it.

Where will the physical Schelling point for relocation be? Madeira? Barbados? Uruguay? Somewhere small and out of the way. Somewhere that doesn’t have a fiat they can weaponize. Somewhere with good sun and water. Somewhere we can build but stay inconspicuous.

I'm not a fan of running or all of us being in a central place. That seems like an easy target.

Of course it won’t be all Bitcoiner’s. Best case maybe 1% would actually be willing and able to relocate in time. But even > 1,000 true Bitcoiner’s living and creating value in a single jurisdiction could create something special. And it would be a great example for other places to emulate in time.

Staying in the prison being constructed around you isn’t running it’s getting out of the way of the punch you see coming. It’s doing the smart thing and removing your energy and your wealth from the grasp of criminal rulers. I’m not going to be commie fodder and I’m not going to be complacent. I’d rather do the hard thing and try to start a new paradigm, as my forefathers successfully did. Way better life stories this route too.

Yeah creating a new state is out. I’m envisioning an instantiation of Bitcoiner ideals (voluntarism, value creation and trade that runs on sound money) in the lowest friction environment (governmentally speaking) possible.

In time, the success and growth of a such a movement could create a feedback loop that would see the local government slowly dissolved as people in the environment realize that it’s doing no good, is a waste and violation of non-aggression and have a clear path to a system that works better (markets and voluntarism).

Only way to actually do this is buy an island or middle of Utah or Greenland or somewhere as equally unappealing

I think the only thing was can do is say FUCK the government, and just keep using it and spreading adoption everywhere

Bro we’re already weirdos😂😂 but the statement about Mormons and weirdos is a false equivalence fallacy.

I will continue using Bitcoin no matter what but if I can realize a better path I will take it. I’m not going to sit on my hands and pretend there is nothing I can do when I see what’s happening.
