I invited friends over tonight for a hot pot night.
I told them I’d pick up everything and they can just pay me a share. I didn’t tell them yet that I only accept Bitcoin!
I won’t let them leave until they have a client and a wallet and I’m zapped! ⚡️

Tonight I invited my closest friends for hot pot in an attempt to slip them my mandarin pill 💊 see #[0]
My plan was to repeat lessons I picked up from generous and patient maxis along the way. I had a whole pitch and plan, which went out the window when I realized I was going talk to people I truly love and respect about their money. Money seemed too aggressive, I started to panic, and then my god-daughter saved me from ruin. In the moment, it was much easier to start by sharing our hopes and dreams for the future and the struggles we face.
I summarized the Satoshi’s narrative and explained the 21M hard cap like it was a bedtime story. I even threw in some #[1]. Most were familiar with “crypto” but shrugged it off as nonsense. I think they were surprised how involved I am, and perhaps even impressed that I had any savings at all. 🤣
They were skeptical of the savings angle so I didn’t push it, and I pivoted to demonstrate the power of Lightning. They downloaded #[2] and we zapped a few Sats to each other, and then I demonstrated Damus app. We zapped a couple posts, and then unexpectedly #[3] zapped us! Ofc they were a bit star-struck by this and it certainly didn’t hurt my case. It was the zapping that got them excited and the questions really started to flow.
Two incredible things happened tonight, I got the chance to share a bit about Bitcoin with my friends and my friends learned more things they love about me. We’ve committed to a monthly dinner to talk more about Bitcoin and I sent them all al link to #[4] so they can get a good foundation and start their journey off right!
