El Salvador has legal mandates for bitcoin adoption and a rapidly worsening civil liberties situation. Power has been centralized in Bukele during his tenure and many rights temporarily removed by a 3 year long state of emergency declaration.

Bhutan simply began mining and paying civil servants in Bitcoin (with significant raises) and helped set up payment acceptance in tourist zones. Civil rights in the country are improving with the current king giving away much of his power to a multi party elected officials.

Bhutan also holds more Bitcoin and has a higher green energy hashrate.

Yet El Salvador gets all the hype from Bitcoin influencers.

I'm suspicious some of you are more interested in simping for wanna be authoritarians than cheering real Bitcoin adoption.
