Do you want to self host or just go direct to Zapstream?
I use OBS here to set up the stream, to go on zap stream, you need the key they provide and you put that in your OBS. Software. I probably don’t explain well but happy to answer any questions.
What is the difference between self hosting and direct zapstream? 🙈
I even uploaded zaps to zapstream but it just didn't work... I'm using a Mac... so not sure if that's where the problem lies.
Also, I'm not sure if I need to use the computer and use my phone as an external camera or if I need to zap directly from the computer without the phone... That would be more complicated because I'm in the kitchen. Easiest would be to just stream directly from my phone 😅
Self hosting is a lot more work and you need a separate computer ideally…
To just use zap.stream normally is quite straightforward , download OBS (open broadcast studio).
The hardest part is probably the zap.stream software, just navigating I found hard but if you click on the plus button near your profile pic, then go to dashboard you can find the stream key. That’s what you need to add in OBS, then it should automatically be set up to record from the Mac camera. I don’t know how you’d set up with the phone but I’m sure it’s doable.
