Yes, if not worse. High end cars also need high end data or telemetry for future improvements, etc etc. Understandable.

They can check how you were driving your car especially within their warranty period. They can void warranty if they find out you did some reckless driving that caused some mechanisms to malfunction.

Ferrari is notorious for this practice.

Well Kia's privacy policy says it'll track your sexual activity and sell it so idk if telemetry is so bad compared to that πŸ˜‚
