Since #Manjaro is explicitly presented as easier to install while still giving the Arch advantages, I've been looking into that one more specifically, and trying to see where it would differ from Mint.

Mint is what I've used for a long time, and also Ubuntu before that. It's been a very long time since I installed anything not Ubuntu based. I don't really know how jarring of a step it would be to use Manjaro/Arch. I'm not a Linux beginner and I can get around with the terminal, but not a hacker wizard and don't know much about configuring the whole system like Arch requires.

So I'm curious. The rolling releases, and ability to get up to date software more easily, do seem nice.

I used to be a distrohopper, but been using Manjaro for over 10 years. No regrets.
