Aside from the obvious green herb, I love my mulberry trees. I’ve even got one growing inside bonsai-style that I hope one day fruits.

🙏🍀 look amazing 😍

My favorite fruit. Simply awesome.

Had no idea what they were when we got the house. Now I’m propagating trees to give to friends.

In the right climate they grow like stink and produce an abundance of fruit. When in season everyone has purple hands.

That’s how my crop generally is. The corner of my yard with the two mature trees smells like fermenting wine by the end of the season and we get drunk squirrels.

My mum tells me I used to sit under the mulberry tree when I was like 2 and just eat mulberry’s until I was purple head to toe and clothes ruined. Now it’s apparent what I was doing was getting drunk. Thanks

They start to dissolve pretty fast once they fall, so I doubt the ones you were eating had fermented. 🤗

It’s a great story so I’m Sticking with it😂

In that case, that’s definitely what was happening.

They’re so delicious. We’ve also got a white variety that is a bit less sweet. We eat them off the tree all summer, but we also harvest hundreds at a time by putting a tarp under the trees and shaking the branches. So far we’ve made mulberry liqueur, jam, and syrup. All great!
