To turn this on its head - it actually doesn't matter what anyone thinks or believes if they are using a money that the govt can print infinitely at no cost.

- Using a money that can't be printed forces resources to either be directly taxed, or they can't be spent.

- To be taxed all of that value means that people will immediately and directly feel the horrific and extraordinary cost that these programs actually carry.

- Feeling that cost will 10000% change their opinions on those programs.

The way our money works *hugely affects* our thinking about value adn govt "plans" because it changes the nature of our relationship between the costs and consequences of everything the political class does.
