Opinion:

Something the people of Nostr need to do better in 2026 is really showing love and support (through follows & zaps) when folks with big accounts on the legacy socials make accounts here.

It's these people's presence that will bring the broader audiences to the freedom protocol. The reason why so many normies create an account and only stay a few days is because all they see is a foreign set of accounts to follow (especially if they're not into bitcoin); so it feels unfamiliar/uncomfortable for them.

The easy solution is to always follow and zap the big names, even if you don't know or care about them. (The bonus is that you may grow to like them - especially as they'll be feeling full freedom of speech for the first time in their content creation career!)

1. The Mom Test: Making key management so simple our parents can join without fear.

2. Beyond Social: Scaling NIPs for marketplaces, code collaboration, and long-form content.

3. Smart Discovery: Using DVMs to find our tribes without relying on "Global" noise.
