That link is a link to a website that displays the image. You need the URL that directly points to the image resource.

how do you do that?

I'm not sure how to do it with Google hosted images tbh. My profile pic should probably render inline:

Yep, it did. I pasted the url "oxtr[.]dev/assets/profilepic1.jpeg

weird this isn’t rendering inline in damus iOS anymore… maybe I broke something. Ugh

Wish I could help JB but I don't have any iOS dev experience

oh nm it was just not rendering on macos. Phew

i used ipfs and a gateway. Ipfs on its own didnt work, but that would be pretty sweet if it did!

It did, and so I’m clear, did global feed see this too or is it just people following you who could see it on Damus iOS?

I use https://postimages.org/

-upload image

-snag the "direct link" (the one with.jpg at the end)

Not showing up in my Damus iOS, do you have Damus iOS, if so, did it show up on your screen?

strange! I'm on astral.ninja and it's working... hmmm

does it work with gifs?

@yegorpetrov 🔑⚡️🥩  discovered that https://imgbb.com/ works well for hosting

Yeah for images that one works! Not sure about GIF

It works:

🤯 TY

yeah seems like something went wrong. Image not showing

thank you for the feedback, seeing it in *my* Damus iOS 🤔

Ooh, this looks good actually! I've set it up on bija so that you can connect a cloudinary account and then you can add images directly whey you compose a post. May add this as an option too, looks simpler and easier. Cloudinary is prob overkill for most people.

Yeah, go to giphy and find a GIF. Copy image address (remove evertything from after the ".gif" extension, and just paste it here.
