Honestly I think #nostr clients should call them “connections” and not “followers”.

Never loved the term to begin with in the context of social, and now the term is fully tainted.

One wants to make connections, while the other seeks to grow followers.

Just a thought.

It'd work if they were automatically reciprocal. As it is now, they're asymmetrical, so more like a follower than a connection.
