Great talk. I'm listening now, about 70% through.

One thing I'd like to comment on since I have watched adoption waves over the years based on bitcoin market value.

True, normal people do not give a crap about bitcoin, central banks, inflation, or government overreach at this moment.

However, in a big way I think we are setting the tone for the future. Nobody cares until they have to, and then there's a huge spotlight on these issues.

I am certainly biased, but I think it's realistic to anticipate all of these topics gaining a lot more attention in the near future. Big upward moves in bitcoin price will also draw a ton of attention.

If nostr is a bitcoin meetup that means it will be a magnet new waves of adoption (which is inevitable in my view). This is why I would prefer to see as many bitcoiners as possible making the shift to nostr.

If you want to see what bitcoiners are talking about you have to come here and I believe soon the entire world will want to know what we are talking about.

Of course I say that also in full support of additional communities and I often post non-bitcoin content, but since it's a permissionless protocol I will just use it in the way which is most authentic to me and let the chips fall.

In any case I applaud your efforts and I appreciate your support 🤙

I’m not saying bitcoiners shouldn’t use Nostr, or recruit more bitcoiners to Nostr. Just that Nostr needs to appeal and be used by many other communities need to be cultivated and grown on Nostr.

yes!

Right I understand what you're getting at and I'm all for expanding the scope of conversation.

I just meant to convey that at the moment nostr being full of bitcoiners may seem like a disadvantage to people who don't see where bitcoin is headed.

In the long run I think it will prove to be a feature rather than a bug 🙂
