If tech drives the prices to marginal cost of production and bitcoin reprices things to their true value, assuming the savings are passed on to humans, that could be one way to deal with AI efficiency in replacing human labor. Make everything cheaper so we don’t need as much to live on. We’ll need something else to keep the masses from depression but we’ll think of something.

A WAR IN MY NAME

what is this from?

I like to imagine the future like a high-tech farm life… Lots of music and arts and outdoors activities to stay busy with but the possibility of using technology to implement our creativity

If human labor gets replaced, governments may start handing out universal basic income, which they trialed during COVID when governments forced people to not go to work, but it will come with strings attached (that is, you'll be something of a slave), and of course it will be taxed...

The trick, I think, will be to simplify life. Have gardens; live in tighter, smaller communities; less driving and more walking; do things in-person; etc. AI can't replace real, human connection.

I’ve been thinking about this lately. While I’m not fully convinced AI will drive the amount of efficiency as the hype says, your thought definitely comforts me if I’m wrong.

Bitcoin repricing the world really seems like the only path forward for humanity to thrive in an AI dominated society.

It does. I can’t see any other way.
