I never keep any sats on Wallet of Satoshi because it is custodial. I only use it to receive sats then I transfer them to Muun.

I zap outgoing with Strike, which converts dirty fiat political tokens into pristine hard money in realtime.

So when WoS goes down like this, I’m like… meh. What evs.

Same sauce..

Strike is also custodial, and Muun is not even a real Lightning network wallet. Consider Phoenix or Breeze wallets as next step for easy to use but non custodial wallets.

I know. All hot wallets a play money, friend. Air gapped hardware wallets at the bottom of the lake ehere my boating accident occurred is where I keep my bags… possibly.

Also, I only charge Strike with USD Chuck E Cheese tokens. 🤣🥺

Right now I never let my WoS have more than 10,000 sats before I transfer them out.

The smart way, that's the reason follow you, learning daily 🙏💜

I’m trying to decide between phoenix and muun. I see both mentioned a lot.

Muun has its own funky key system. I have not tried phoenix.

Both are great (and both have trade offs) in my experience.

Phoenix is a proper Lightning wallet, with on-chain swaps and channels, whereas Muun is more of a Lightning-friendly on-chain wallet which does some Lightning action under the hood.

I use both and recommend trying either one!

Any wallet that let’s you connect to your own node should be selected over those that don’t. Phoenix does this. And even if you aren’t going to use it in that way, at least Phoenix has Tor to give you some added privacy.

I think Muun 2.0 will be great, and Muun 1.0 was great for it’s time. But if you want real lightning, word backup, self-custodial and privacy, then Phoenix, Blixt or Breez are unmatched.

Phoenix and Blixt are my preferred choices at this time.
