Which clients are being bad with tags? 🤔
I bet all my money that it's Primal
If I knew I would tell Jack Dorsey to delete them off Nostr.
Adding this to my keynote.
Amethyst always does the case the user has written in he post and another one in lowercase. 🫢
It's your fault that npub.pro has #GrowNostr and #grownostr 😡
Maybe we should add an option to specify a black/whitelist of hashtags you'd want to see appearing on your site? Then you'd choose some good list and then the garbage wouldn't annoy anyone.
In fact, the problem is a bit broader than it seems if we're talking about languages other than English. That's why Amethyst's approach makes sense 😳
> 'こんにちは'.toLowerCase()
"こんにちは"
Seems fine
That's exactly the point—it's unethical concerning the English language because this decision is selectively discriminatory. And writing systems without distinct upper or lower case do not undergo the correction required for the English language, putting them in a privileged position.
From this perspective, what Amethyst is doing is progressive and fair.
It's really strange to hear any complaints from someone who created mostr and brought so much pain to our community 😑
I appreciate the chuckle I had, but CamelCase hashtags are pretty essential for screen reader accessibility for multi/compound word tags. But not sure how a policy could properly account for that.

Haha this looks bad in Primal cause it doesn’t render it as a highlight and doesn’t show the context 😂
Gonna add `awk '{ print tolower($0) }'` to nostr.sh lest I get steamrolled.
