Awesomeā¦Iām about to take my general exam and hopefully amateur extra in a couple of months. Just ordered meshtastic units and covers (x4)ā¦canāt wait to dive inā¦of course Iām old and technically retarded so Iām expecting an uphill slogš

It didnāt take much to get the basics running. Now Iām climbing in the rafters to hang antennas ā¦
Good luck with ur projectā¦canāt wait to start on mineš
It's a peace of piss, you'll be up and running 5 minutes after you unpack it.
Just screw the antenna on first.
U may be underestimating my level of technical incompetence š¤£ā¦but Iām hoping ur right.
I just recently passed the technical exam but Iām still a lil overwhelmed with simple station operationā¦Iām looking forward to trying my hand at the HF frequencies but even more so the digital meshtastic communications. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Anyone can do it. I bought a couple of Lilygo T-echo's just because they look good when I show my neighbors. Trying to get the village set up with a network.
When I buy more I think it's be the low power Rak jobbies, don't really need a screen or gps just to send a message.
I have the lilygo t deck and t beams saved for possible purchase laterā¦I have the small (~2ā) units from Amazon ordered (v3 version) with the Etsy custom cases which accommodate a battery and seem pretty nice. Also got the improved after market antenna.
