I almost always purchase an audiobook. If I want to see figures or designs, I might look for a PDF or EPUB version, or I'll buy a used hardcover if I plan to refer to it frequently. If there isn't an audio version available, the content really has to be incredibly useful for me to dedicate time to reading it. I often wish this wasn't my learning style, but it is. 24/7 visual snow makes reading unenjoyable about 95% of the time. Understanding this earlier would have benefited a younger Rafa.

It's constant, even with my eyes closed. Sunglasses help somewhat with photosensitivity but It's mostly a pain in the ass when I have to sit down and read. It's like tinnitus but for vision.

Like 13 years ago. I thought it was normal for most of my life. Had an opthalmology school on my undergrad campus where I went bc my vision was bothering while sitting on the computer. They diagnosed it there. Odd AF.
