At least for Twitter, these things start off as a convenience for the person as a way to catch up on what the people you’re following “likes”. But it inherently becomes an echo chamber, which is why we introduced following topics.

In any case, best as we use these algorithms that we can see how they prioritize, and more importantly, that we can turn them off or change them out.
