It still goes over lightning between the two mints, right?

Correct!

And you pay the fees…

Which can be as high as the mint wants and you have no way to prove it scammed you

Oh yeah!

Game changer...💯 🔥

What’s ecash. Can someone explain briefly ?

you send sats to a "mint" and get a shitcoin token they print.

but you can use it instantly and privately (Where Accepted™) and *should* be able to swap back for your sats at any time.

and convert to a different mints tokens eventually.

anyone (or group of anyones) can setup a mint.

early days, can be rugged, use with caution.

Soo why would I use this as oppose to just sending the sats ? For privacy?

I’m trying to understand it.

It has much lower overhead for the end user and can be used like cash.

Also, as the mint is blinded and doesn't see the movement of tokens. So its good privacy.

Basically custodial Lightning but with a better user experience.

This what ecash looks like, if you have an app with a cashu wallet you can claim these sats.

What are the most trusted mints?

Can you help newbies understand how this is useful?

Great job calle 🫡

A network of networks…it’s like an internetwork for cash…

"Scan a QR code to receive" is unintuitive UX.

Person sending should be scanning in regular bitcoin. Why did this change in ecash?
