Oof

I tried. I decided dying alone was a better option. I deleted.

I still thing your rad and interesting๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ

indicator of health it is !

those apps are disgusting spirit crushing weapons...

Those apps have horrible incentive structures ๐Ÿซ

Facccttttsssss

Isnโ€™t the incentive supposed to be find a relationship?

That's ideally what they're promising, but they can't actually give you a relationship. In reality, all they can give you are "matches". What they need however is "engagement", so even if they could give you that outcome, the most successful version of the app would have less users which is bad for business.

Add on the asymmetrical behavioral incentives for men and women and the fact that what you can put on your profile has at most a minimal effect on what actually determines compatibility.

Fair point. Youโ€™re encouraging me to never try them again.

For me, the mental health drain was just too much for me to continue on with it ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Iโ€™ve never lasted very long on them before panic deleting.

Congrats!!

Deleting dating apps is even more important for mental health than deleting mainstream social media imo.

Iโ€™m gonna concur. I only had it for a week.
