We're getting an airdrop?

I hope I qualify for UBI. I don't want to work for money they create from nothing.
Just get Bürgergeld in three cities like everyone else...
We just paid our taxes and felt like total losers because we have the same lifestyle as Bürgergeldempfänger, but we each work 60-hour weeks, to acheive it.
That's disturbing to hear but it validates my points. My sister is moving and the people showing up to rent her current place all say "money doesn't matter. The government will pay the €6,000 "ablöse" for her kitchen. A German social receiver will receive less than €2,000 for their "Erstausstattung".
Yeah, it's totally driving apartment rents up, too, and makes it hard for normal workers to find someplace to live. They can't pay astronomic rates, but the government just dishes out the money.
Indeed. I have a friend who lost everything during covid and he's in a program for people in extreme life situations. has been for the last two years. At the end of this year the Bezirk will not extend the program and he literally cannot find a place. ALL rentals are above the rent he's eligible to receive as a single household. Hence, he'll be homeless by March unless something changes dramatically.
This guy used to have a restaurant with 11 employees for 15 years.
Typical story.
A lot of economic misery has been hidden by local programs, but the local governments are bankrupt.
It's easier for local governments to get money from the Bund for some welfare, than for others, is the thing.
You're 100 right. But this man paid his dues and the dues of his staff for 15 years. He doesn't deserve to be abandoned by his own government. He can't even get a loan to start a new business (for which he is more than qualified) because the government put him into SCHUFA for the COVID relief he received in 2020 and couldn't pay back when they closed the economy.
So basically, they gave him money only to destroy him and they did the same to many others from the same industry.
Yes, I was listening to a radio show with a woman running a café. She's doing okay, now, but paying back the COVID loans was apparently a struggle.
People legit think we're nuts to work so hard. It's very clear that we live like paupers, and are being run into the ground and have no free time.
They're all at the pool. ⛱️🍹👙🏊🏻♀️
i hate UBI. they basically have had it for a very long time in australia and it distorts the labor marketplace to create permanent underemployed and unemployed classes.
i was in the former category, couldn't get a job because my productivity and qualifications were below the first rung of the ladder. since coming to europe, finding work has been, pretty much, easy.
even if my qualifications were not great, pretty much got into almost everything i tried to find a position in so far.
i'm rather qualified now though, but people have bad taste in programming languages so the positions are a little scarce anyway.
The whole fiat system is a sick joke at this stage and deserves our contempt and mockery at all times possible.
We can just hope the collapse of the USD accelerates as it will crash them all, but as we saw during COVID, people are pretty dumb and love their slavery, as long as it's comfortable slavery.
