People that retire at 65.2 only live one year after retirement on average?

That seems to be the case - and actually, that is what molded me. I was a repeat runaway until my grandparents took me in. My grandfather worked until somewhere between 63-64 years old. Planned on spending his retirement hunting and fishing.

He had a stroke a couple years later (not sure if I had lived with them more than a year by then). He did live into his 70s, but it was a severely compromised life and NOT what he dreamed.

I vowed to not have the same thing happen to me.

As we get older, the odds of getting cancer increase exponentially. Then there's also heart disease and other complications of an unnatural life we lead in the 21st century.
