Jellyfin is already available and better IMO
Been using Jellyfin for 4 years now, fantastic piece of software
I wish i could like jellyfin since its actually opensource but sharing is not as simple and plex apps are available on so many devices including smart tv apps
Jellyfin has apps for just about every platform, including smart TVs. It's also very easy to create guest accounts to share media, etc. I've never used Plex personally, so I can't compare, but I'm pretty sure Jellyfin does all the things and easily.
