Imagine using email on a terminal in the late 70’s and thinking “my god this is going to change everything!” and then having to wait 15 years for AOL.

Oof

😂

Well at least before AOL, email was not completely captured and centralize. When you think about it, those were the golden years.

Let's just hope nostr has a different fate.

Is that what is going to happen for Nostr do you think ? Slow adoption of what is a ground-breaking new technology ?

Adoption seems always to be too slow for enthusiasts and too fast for doubters. 🤷‍♀️

Lol 🤣 I’m not quite that old but I do remember the first time I figured out I could access the public library catalog via telnet to look for a book and thinking how revolutionary it was because I didn’t have to ask my dad to take me to the library and physically flip through the card catalog any more.

I wish I could access the public library catalog over telnet

We do need patience! Yoni Assia shared that sentiment on Scott Melker's recent podcast. Was a good listen

I remember sharing tests in college over UUCP mail, the precursor to internet email

Sound familiar
