i got it real bad just before the lockdowns started, had me laid out for 3 days straight
number one rule of covid is: don't move
maybe it was worse for me because i already have allergy problems that cause anaphylaxis (asthma) but within half an hour i was getting so much pain from coughing i just forced myself to be as slow and still as possible and i just mostly slept it off
they definitely cooked up a super cold virus
it's a cold, also, you are more vulnerable if you get a chill, that's what led to me going down so hard for 3 days, otherwise i probably would have remained relatively asymptomatic
so second rule of covid is: stay warm
the virus doesn't do so well with normal or substantially elevated core temperature
probably chilli is prophylactic against it if you suspect it might be in you, because it raises your core temp a few fractions
i will just say it isn't as bad as my food allergy tho, except the allergy goes away after 24 hours if i fast or am successful in identifying the allergen and don't eat it again
i get that shit from grain fed eggs now!
Appreciate this. I've been getting wild temperature swings. Hot sweats to cold sweats. Body aches. Tired as shit but weirdly mentally wired. Like I probably only slept a few hours last night. It's the weirdest sick I've ever been.
yeah, you really gotta wait it out once it gets you into that state
and stay warm
