No it doesn't show any "shift in tone torward crypto". It's a PR stunt which could lead to more money for the election campaign. Don't give your bitcoin to dementia man or orange man, they don't give a flying fuck about bitcoin (or cRyPtO for that matter).
Its quite fucking pathetic that anyone, anywhere, can believe a single word out of any politicians mouth. Especially when they are campaigning. The only thing that makes sense is people absolutely love being lied to, so long as the lie makes them feel good.
I read this as "Politician seeks advice on how to pander to bitcoiners and crypto bros, but ultimately will not implement any policy changes."
