Attacking people in general usually has them doubling down on their original behavior.

The only times I (and most people I would venture) ever change behavior are when a decent argument is made politely. Kindness and patience always win over bullying.

My broad impression of the left is that they attempt to bully others to get their way.

The right imposes their way and then acts dismisssively when objections are brought up.

There's way more to it then that obviously but that's a start.

if by "the left" you mean liberals/democrats in the united states, then yeah i'd agree with you. but despite what the media will tell you (and despite the only left-wing party being almost exclusively liberal), liberals only make up like 11% of the population, and most of the left hates them. pushy, self-righteous, and purity-obsessed, mostly middle-class (and therefore with divided class loyalties), and always insincere.

Phil Ochs was right when he said they're "ten degrees to the left at the best of times, ten degrees to the right if it affects them personally." "scratch a liberals and a fascist bleeds" is a common slogal in the circles i spend time in lol

I like you.

We probably disagree on a bunch of stuff, but you make excellent points.

I would also include Liberals (and indeed "Conservatives") in Canada. They're undoubtedly included in that 11%.
