Back in the early 2000s, the internet is a place to be anonymous, you can say whatever you want. You can join any forum chat. You can pretend to be whoever you want to be.

Now internet is all about linking real-life identity. What has changed? Why did it change?

The incentives changed… now is all about money, if someone makes something without becoming rich, it is not a success to the eyes of many…

Either that or we brought the normies into it and they ruined the internet…

I remember back in that day chat on Forum on YM /MSN is a good time. Also Friendster is the first social media with Personal coding experience...
