What is the right way to grow plants in a bioreactor? Is there anything you shouldn't try to grow?

Bioreactors make compost, they are not really for growing in though I am playing with that a bit. You can grow some stuff in them when the compost is at least 4-6 month old and it just makes better compost.
But the original post means they are using the compost in the garden.
