Well. My boys have been sick with something all weekend, I found this recipe for "firewater" (no booze, laaaame) and it definitely feels healthy. I actually like the taste (adding ginger and cinnamon makes it downright tasty).

that’s the stuff. the raw unfiltered honey and elderberry syrup alone will do the trick, but what is life without some cayenne?

I've been reserving our elderberry syrup for the boys since we're waiting on our next shipment of berries to make more syrup. If I can keep the birds from eating all my elderberries this year, I might have enough for a few batches with American elderberries instead of European.
