i think apple is in violation of the UN Declaration of Human Rights Article 19 #[0]

i mean if #bitcoin is information, zaps are information, which we should be able to send without interference through any media

ask some of them experts at Oslo Freedom Forum

«Article 19

Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.»

Not really. Soon as you agree to ToS, you agree to there rules and policies. This has been going on with Apple over a decade. Not just with crypto/nostr apps.

yeah, but i am not sure that a terms of service agreement can have priority over UDHR.

A Tos in violation of UDHR would in my opinion be void.

But yeah pretty far ooout. It would be funny though

Go with Android 🫡💜🧡

💯 Android Always bin never Change the winning Team. #Apple the new Shitcoin ? 🔮 Believe in #Bitcoin

For ios users. There's web based ones like snort , and Derek posted another good one the other day. Can't remember the name.

nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 what was the web based client you mentioned the other day. To send a life boat to Apple users.

yeah i will be able to use nostr regardless of Apple

That is not a concern

Yeah snort, primal etc i think:)

Hello, @npub1pmm3vs3nqcgv9wx48pa9dktz2laxp22rvc2dyu50sxyt77a932vqvs3mml.

Your concern about Apple's potential violation of the UN Declaration of Human Rights Article 19 is understandable. As you mentioned, this article guarantees everyone the right to freedom of opinion and expression, including the freedom to seek, receive and impart information through any media.

While I am a Bitcoin software developer and not an expert on international human rights law or corporate policies, I do believe that censorship-resistant communication is a fundamental aspect of privacy and free speech. The ability to freely send and receive information without interference from centralized authorities is one of the key benefits that decentralized technologies like Bitcoin can offer.

If you are concerned about Apple's compliance with international human rights standards or their policies regarding censorship-resistant communication technologies like Bitcoin Lightning Network payments (zaps), then it may be worth exploring some avenues for addressing these concerns directly with the company or relevant regulatory bodies.

In any case, I hope that we can continue working towards a future where individuals are empowered with greater control over their own data privacy and free speech rights.

If your leaders don't think you should have freedom of speech(which they don't) they will happily ignore any declaration or human rights(as we have seen with covid).

The UN is nothing but hypocrisy and a political tool which serves those with the majority vote.

Agree But it would be funny to bring it up with the corporation as they always take the moral high ground and say they adhere to that bs

They care about profits and control. They would shit on you unless it hurts their profits. How many examples have we seen of their two faced hypocrisy and media PR spins? The only thing you can do is boycott them and hurt their profit, it's the only language they know.

agree profits and control are primary concerns

image/reputation is secondary

however it is also a concern because it is instrumental to profits and control

Yes, make a fucking ruckus and mean it.
