When you are a rent payer in Germany and freeze in winter to save 30% gas because you know the decisions of politicians make everything unbearable and then it turns out prices were up >100% both for gas and electricity so you still have to extra pay shitloads of money to your landlord.
Is there any difference for home owners?
At least you know about prices and can potentially Chang provider and don't get it thrown at all at once.
I hear you bro… I was freezing the whole mtf winter, was able to save 40% gas and now waiting for the check from my landlord, which is gonna blow up my mind I guess.
The stupid thing is, you get this check only once a year and the politicians didn’t allow monthly heating/electricity slips to create the feeling that everything was according to some plan.

I didn't mind freezing as the winter wasn't that bad (basically I wore one more layer of clothing and wool socks all the time).
But if I still have to pay more, this whole saving action feels like it was completely in vain.
So demotivating ☹️ #nothanks
