To me, we still need more user level controls before a true global is something that I’d be interested in as my default global (I also think the idea of multiple user level “filter profiles” are really appealing to me - kind of like Apple does focus modes). I’d really like to filter out hate speech - just don’t need any more of that shit in my life - and would like the ability to see what is being considered “hate speech” to be able to provide feedback if things are being misclassified. I’d also love to filter out bots. I don’t think it’s fair to filter them for everyone… they’re not exactly spam - but they’re something I don’t want to see in my feed as a personal preference. Would be nice to be able to dip my toe into political discussions when I want, but also have social experiences on nostr without it if that’s my mood. I think it’s a great early days solution and I’m excited about what we can build to make it more usable in the future.
