what's the point of choosing a bunch of relays if they are anyway going to broadcast to everyone else ? I mean we should just write to one relay then !

Then we’re back at Twitter. What if the owner of that one big relay doesn’t like you? You’d effectively be excommunicated..

I can’t emphasize enough I’m still learning too!

I guess we are saying the same thing ..

1- if relays are obligated to broadcast at protocol level then we dont need to write to many relays .. just one is enough

2 . If relays are black boxes ( like Twitter or Facebook) than we must relay to as many relays as possible , including a private relay of our own ..

Which of the above two they are ? That is my question...

Or is it a configuration setting ? That may be turned off to stop relay from natively broadcasting ..

This I’m not too sure about, kinda been wondering myself

If there was just one big relay it would get spammed to hell and cost a lot to upkeep.

I think people are saying find like 7-10 relays you’re interested in that aren’t spammy so you can have a network but not be dependent on one relay
